SERVICES: Non-invasive body contouring
Body Contouring Services
Non-invasive body contouring, tailored to your goals, is available at every Liquid Sculpt location.

What is Body Contouring?
Body contouring, also called body sculpting, is a non-invasive, non-surgical process that uses handwork to move fluid naturally through the lymphatic system and out of the body to reshape, sculpt, and improve the appearance of the body’s lines. Body contouring combines manual lymphatic drainage with targeted sculpting techniques to reduce fluid retention, enhance definition, and optimize the body’s natural contours. No machines, no medications, and no incisions. Everything is done by hand or using simple wooden tools.
Each person’s body contouring treatment plan is different and may use Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Ice Therapy, and/or Wood Therapy. These techniques redistribute fluid in the body to create a leaner look, reduce puffiness, enhance circulation, reduce fluid and inflammation in the body, reduce abdominal distention, release toxins for elimination, aid in weight loss and more effective calorie burning, and promote relaxation.
What Treatments Do We Offer?
At Liquid Sculpt, we offer two non-invasive treatments for body sculpting: Ice Therapy and Wood Therapy. Each can be booked on its own or combined with the other, depending on your goals.
We Adjust the Treatments to Your Goals and Needs
Body contouring works best as part of a plan built around what you're actually trying to achieve. Here's how Ice Therapy and Wood Therapy fit into some of our most common treatment goals:
Pre & Post-Operative Care
Once you're cleared by your surgeon, both treatments can be introduced alongside lymphatic drainage to support your recovery and work toward your contouring goals as healing progresses.
Pregnancy & Postpartum
For postpartum clients, once you're cleared for treatment, Ice Therapy and Wood Therapy can support your body contouring goals, often alongside lymphatic drainage.
Athletes
For athletes focused on muscle definition alongside recovery, both sculpting treatments can be combined with lymphatic drainage as part of a broader performance and recovery plan.
Weight Loss & Detox
Ice Therapy and Wood Therapy are often combined with lymphatic drainage for weight loss and detox goals, helping flush toxins, reduce fatty tissue, and flatten and sculpt the stomach and the entire body.
Our Unique Approach to Body Contouring
Liquid Sculpt is different than body sculpting techniques that “burn fat,” use machines, or inflict pain. We believe your connection should be with your body therapist, not a machine, who knows technically and artistically how to reshape your body’s contours using only manual techniques.
What Should You Expect?
We know first appointments can make people a little anxious, especially if you have never experienced body contouring before. Let’s demystify the process so you can feel comfortable and confident.
- Call any of our locations to make an appointment or fill out our appointment request form.
- Check in for your appointment at the front desk of our welcoming studio.
- When your body therapist is ready, they will show you to a treatment room that is calm, clean, and minimalistic but comfortable. It’s not like a doctor’s office, it’s more like a spa.
- Your first body contouring session begins with a conversation in a modern but relaxing treatment room. You and your body therapist talk about your lifestyle, season of life, habits, diet and nutrition, digestion, and exercise. You and your therapist discuss your goals and any issues or symptoms you are feeling like bloating or heaviness.
- Your body therapist will gently and reassuringly review your body’s contours to determine a therapeutic plan. After sharing this plan with you and making adjustments based on your needs and comfort level, you will have your first treatment.
- When you are ready, your therapist will leave the room for you to put on a simple cover up. When the therapist returns, they will help you get settled on the treatment table.
- Your first treatment may include one or more of the following according to your treatment plan: lymphatic drainage, Ice Therapy, and Wood Therapy.
- You and your therapist will remain in communication throughout the session about your comfort, the pressure level, and what you are feeling. There should not be any pain. Your treatment will last about 60 minutes, sometimes a bit longer. We don’t end the session before the treatment is complete. Sometimes we go a little slower to achieve the results you want or because of how you are feeling. It’s not a strict time limit. No timer. No pressure.
- The session concludes with reminders about hydration and following an anti-inflammatory and no alcohol diet for 72 hours.
- After a treatment, you’ll feel lighter, less puffy, more relaxed, and more defined.
- Your body will continue to respond for hours after the treatment as the fluids balance and tissues settle.
- Subsequent sessions will also start with a conversation to see how you are feeling and what’s happened in your life since your last treatment. We then continue with your treatment plan, adjusting if needed based on revised goals and/or presentation.

FAQs
What's the difference between Ice Therapy and Wood Therapy?
Ice Therapy and Wood Therapy are two methods used to achieve the goal of body contouring (or body sculpting), they just achieve results in different ways. What’s best for you depends on many factors, including your goals, your lifestyle, your personal preferences, and your body’s response to therapies. Ice Therapy uses cold exposure to put the body in a state of thermogenesis where it is essentially burning fatty tissue. Wood Therapy uses physical manipulation of body tissues with wooden hand tools to redistribute fluid in the body, reduce the appearance of cellulite, increase circulation, and assist the body in eliminating excess fluid. Wood Therapy often achieves a more accelerated result. Many clients use Wood Therapy as a primary with Ice Therapy as an add-on. And there are some people who don’t want Ice Therapy because it is cold. Your Liquid Sculpt therapist always respects your wishes and comfort level. You will never be pressured into a particular therapy.
Can I combine Ice Therapy and Wood Therapy in the same visit?
Yes, absolutely. And the therapies can vary over different sessions. It just depends on where you are in your body contouring journey and what works best for that session to achieve results.
How many sessions will I need to see results?
The answer to this depends on your specific goals and treatment plan, but, in general, most clients start seeing results in 3-6 sessions. Some people see them right away after the first session. The effect of the treatments compounds over time so the more consistent you are with keeping on track with the frequency of your sessions, the more likely you will see results that move you toward your goals. Remember that everyone is in a different place and everyone responds differently to body contouring treatment. So, if, for example, you are post-surgical, then we are likely going to go slower and very gently at the beginning as you recover, compared to someone who hasn’t had surgery.
Is body contouring painful?
No, body contouring should not be painful. Our body therapists are constantly checking in with you during a session to make sure you aren’t experiencing discomfort. If something isn’t feeling right, we make an adjustment.
Who is a good candidate for non-surgical body contouring?
Someone who is relatively healthy and is looking to refine their natural shape, feel less puffy, improve definition, and support their body’s natural fluid movement processes is a great candidate for non-surgical body contouring. Body contouring can help with moderate weight loss, but if major weight loss is your main goal, then other interventions may be needed as a companion to body contouring.
